     Why wait to do something good? Homegrown for the Holidays: Volume 3 is your chance to "give a little" and "HELP A LOT". Our motto is "FEED 5 FOR $10". It's that simple. The money raised from each disc sold is enough to provide five meals at KARM.

     The 2012 edition of i105's Charity-driven CD will benefit Knox Area Rescue Ministries and is now available for sale.

     KARM serves the East Tennessee area as a Christian ministry devoted to rescue, recovery and restoration, providing food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, and healing for hurting people in our community. Its purpose is to seek to rescue the poor and needy of the Knox area by providing recovery services in Jesus’ name. It supplies emergency food and shelter to men, women and children 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It has served the East Tennessee community since 1960. It is home to nearly 400 people each night and frequently serves more than 1,200 meals daily.

     KARM’s recovery services offer extended-stay residential drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation programs for both men and women, which prepare them for success in mainstream society. Additionally, job training is offered through the Abundant Life Kitchen and CleanStart. These programs teach motivated individuals new career skills, helping break the cycle of unemployment, and improving the quality of life for themselves and their families.

     The Crossroads Welcome Center is a restoration resource hub providing access to personal business services for the unemployed and homeless, such as telephones, computers, job boards, space for meeting with social services agencies, and other resources seven days a week.

     The 2012 Charity CD Project will again be priced at $10, including tax where applicable, and will provide the charity with approximately $9.15 for each CD sold.

     KARM has estimated that the 2012 cost for providing meals to those who are utilizing its services is approximately $1.87 per meal. This means that the net proceeds from each CD sold will provide funding for almost 5 meals.
