Jeff Barbra & Sarah Pirkle...

Have been married (to each other!) for 14 years, and make their home in Walland, TN in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains national park.

Are 1st Place Winners of the 2000 Merlefest Chris Austin Songwriting Contest.

Hosted and produced the highly successful WDVX "Behind The Barn Series" from 1999-2004

Played too many shows to count and have opened for Nanci Griffith, BR549, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris Knight, Larry Cordle, Tony Rice, The Steep Canyon Rangers, Yonder Mountain String Band, Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines, Jim Lauderdale, Jon Randall Stewart, David Peterson, David Allan Coe, David Grier, Rod Picott, Walt Wilkins, Danny Barnes, James King, Dale Anne Bradley, Pat Flynn, John Cowan, Tony Furtado, The Kruger Brothers, Steve Young, Randy Weeks, Duane Jarvis, Randy Kohrs, Phil Lee, Karl Shiflett, The Dempseys, Chip Taylor, Chris Jones, and many, many more.

Released their first independent debut album, "Dog Years" regionally on March 25, 2000.
Two singles from the album, "The Piney Rose" and "When I Come Home" were released nationally in 2001.

Released their second independant album, "Barb Hollow Sessions" worldwide on January 1, 2004. It received rave reviews and heavy airplay. The album debuted at #6 on the Roots Music Report National Bluegrass Airplay Charts. The single, "Bury Me In The Red Clay" peaked at #12 on the Bluegrass Unlimited National Chart for November 2004. It stayed on the charts for 8 months, after it's debut on the charts.
